Threse are few tips for first Balet Class.
1-While many have found that learning ballet as a young child has allowed them to retain a few of the basic steps and movements, others
should do a bit of research and study before their first ballet class. Ballet is not only a great exercise and dance routine, it's also a
cultural experience.
2-Many of the movements, terms, and steps involved in ballet, require flexibility, precision, determination, as well as strength, and it can
be difficult enough to put your body in these positions, without understanding what the instructor is saying. So just as before you start
learning any new sport, you'll need to learn the terminology required in most ballet classes.
3-While learning and familiarizing yourself with the vocabulary may not necessarily improve your actual movements, it can actually make
the class a bit easier as you'll understand exactly what they're asking you to do. A bit of online research or even a ballet book can help
you familiarize yourself.
4-You may also want to learn the five basic ballet positions at the barre. These positions will be used over and over again and it involves
precise placement of feet, hands, and arms. You may find that you're asked to put your feet in very specific positions such as heels
together while toes are spread at least 6 inches apart, knowing these barre positions before your first class can only help you place your
feet correctly.
